Ice Cream Social

Oh Happy Day – one of my favorite daily reads, posted this fabooolous party idea which I’m going to steal and replicate for my next party.

Since I got my ice cream maker,  I’ve been dreaming of throwing an ice cream party where the ice cream is all homemade, guests simply turn up and have fun choosing what they want with fancy toppings. Guests are of course most welcome to bring their own favorite tubs of ice cream to add to the haul and contribute to the sprinkles and all. Perfect for hot humid here and it will be fun. I’ll enjoy it the most since I’m such a dessert fanatic though my tummy might not like me very much at the end of it all..

I love Oh Happy Day’s idea of getting the guests to turn up dressed in colors to match their favorite ice cream flavors.  Isn’t that awesome and a stinking cute idea? So let’s see how I can plan this – it’ll probably take a (long) while before I can get this rolled out because I’m very busy preparing another space so I won’t be cooking for a few months and recipes will be slow here – please be patient, I promise I’ll be back soon!

Oh. I’ve also recently purchased a popsicle maker – haven’t had the chance to try it out but I’ll be churning that out soon too!
