Taylor mashup

January 3rd, 2015 No Comments »

I love mash-ups. I think , I started falling in love with mash-ups when I was in the Glee watching phase. I’ve always admired cover artistes that do mash-ups and sometimes, I do prefer the mash-up versions 😛

I’m unabashedly a huge Taylor Swift fan. I love that she’s so honest, talented in the way that she writes her music, love love love her music,  has an extremely big heart and is genuine and sincere towards her fans.. and hey, anyone that gets asked to perform not once but twice for the Victoria Secrets’ show has to be cool right?

So this video of hers made me cry (yes, I’ve become such an emo mess and glad that my gf confessed to me that she cried too *high fives) and then this cover of her latest hits is on a constant repeat.

Of pocky sticks, strawberries and iced tea

and tea biscuits…

Have I mentioned that I’m mildly obsessed with these tea biscuits from Kee Wah? Jasmine, oolong, green tea and black tea. It’s incredibly good and probably a best kept secret in Hong Kong. So when life got a little topsy turvy as it tends to get every now and then, and I’m about the yank out my hair and go ^$&#***!!! I make a cup of iced tea in my fancy tea set, tear open a packet of Pocky sticks (made in Japan ones only thankyouverymuch), berries and biscuits and chill. It’s rather calming. Try it some time.

Party like a rock star

It was a quick in and out trip over the weekend to Hong Kong some.. I can’t even recall where. It was different from the other trips and too short but yet, I couldn’t wait to get home (tired from travels and whatnots). Having said that, it was fun to be out till 3am. I’ll just say that gawd am I old. It’s one of those things that I can only do once in a very blue moon because the next day just hurts especially when I’ve a flight to catch. Nonetheless, it was still a lovely weekend break. I’m looking forward to the next short vacation – hullo Bali!

The simple things in life

August 13th, 2014 No Comments »

I don’t always need expensive meals for it to be enjoyable, sometimes, the simple things in life are truly the best. Like these siopao (toasted buns with corned beef) that was carried all the way from Manila for me. I immediately stashed them into zip locks and chucked them into the freezer and defrosted them in the fridge before popping them into the toaster. So so good. Look out for these if you visit the Philippines. This and pandesal.

On repeat

Sometimes, it’s best to just keep doing the things that you love, on repeat. Don’t re-invent the wheel, stick to what’s familiar, and if it makes you happy, constant repeat.

Blog hop

It’s been a long while since I did a meme of some sorts. And since my darling gf Z asked, I said okay and it’s a fun get to know me.

I’m not exactly sure how this initiated, but it’s a traveling blog tour that takes place on Monday! So here goes..
